Miss Tara Rehrig and Christopher Allen, both of Quincy, Ill., were married May 11, 2019.
The bride is a daughter of Troy and Lindy Rehrig, of Quincy, Ill. She is a Quincy Senior High School graduate and received a bachelors from Western Illinois University. Tara is currently employed by NDI Office Furniture in Nashville, Tenn.
The groom is a son of Lori Welsh-Allen and Larry Allen, of Quincy, Ill. He graduated from Quincy Notre Dame and studied professional cooking at John Wood Community College. Chris is currently the executive chef at the City Winery in Nashville, Tenn. He has his own line of BBQ seasonings, rubs, sauces and marinades. Chris also served as a member of the Kansas City BBQ Society.
The wedding ceremony started at 1 p.m. at Lakeview Weddings, Camp Point, Ill. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Jason Parrott officiated.
There were Scripture readings by Mary Lou Rogers, grandmother of the bride. Music was by Janell Vermeire, friend of the bride and groom. Rachael Brink and Even Miller handled the guest book. The bride's cousins, Grace, Georgia and Greta Robbearts, were the bride's personal attendants.
Maid of honor was Stefanie Allen, friend of bride, and matron of honor was Jenny Rehrig, the bride's sister-in-law. Bridesmaids were Megan Schlepphorst, Jessica Gregory, Elizabeth Wolf, Hali Wear, Laura Wright (sister-in-law of the bride) and Jenell Vermeire.
Best men were Nicholas and Andrew Allen, brothers of the groom. Groomsmen were Tyler Brumbaugh, Trent Moran, Ian Vosse, Tyler Wand, and brothers of the bride, Chase Rehrig and Brandon Rehrig. Ushers were Conner Rehrig, nephew of the bride, Chase Rehrig, brother of the bride, and Brandon Rehrig, brother of the bride.
Flower girls were Reese Gregory and Victoria Allen. Ring bearers were Nolan Rehrig, nephew of the bride, and Braxton Todd, great-nephew of the groom.
A couples shower was hosted by the bride's mother and grandmother and the groom's mother, held at One Restaurant and Bar on March 30.
A shower was held at the home of Jessica Gregory, hosted by her bridesmaids. A bridal luncheon was hosted by Laura Wright, sister-in-law of the bride, on May 10.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents at One Restaurant and Bar.
The wedding reception was held at 6 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Ball Room.
After a honeymoon in Cozumel, Mexico, the newlyweds are at home in Nashville, Tenn., with their fur baby, Bailey.
