Final Summer on 6th set for Thursday

QUINCY -- School supplies will be collected as part of the final Summer on 6th block party of the season.

Summer on 6th runs from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, on Sixth Street between Hampshire and Maine.

Visitors are asked to donated new school supplies to help "fill the bus" for students returning to Quincy Public Schools this week.

Businesses along Sixth will be open for customers, as well as live music, games, and food and beverages.

The event is organized by the 6th Street Promenade Committee that is comprised of property and business owners on Sixth Street between Vermont and Maine.
