Hurdland man dies in motorcycle crash

NOVELTY, Mo. -- A Hurdland man died in a Sunday morning deer-related motorcycle crash northwest of Novelty.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2010 Harley-Davidson driven by Aaron D. Vansickle, 45, of Hurdland, was southbound on Route A, 2 miles northwest of Novelty, at 10 a.m. The patrol said the motorcycle hit a deer and ran off the east side of the road.

Vansickle was taken to the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina.

The patrol was assisted by the Knox County Sheriff's Department and Ambulance.
