PLEASANT HILL, Ill. -- A Pleasant Hill man was arrested Saturday on drug-related charges.
The arrest took place after the Pleasant Hill Police Department, the Pike County Sheriff's Department and the West Central Illinois Drug Task Force conducted an investigation in Pleasant Hill.
Officers say Kyle H. Myers, 36, possessed more than 10 grams of methamphetamine.
Myers was arrested in the 300 block of Clinton Street on charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver (within 500 feet of a school) and unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
Myers was taken to the Pike County Jail to await a court appearance.
Pleasant Hill Police Chief Zack Orr said police have been making a concerted effort "to combat the methamphetamine epidemic" in Pleasant Hill.
Orr said the Pleasant Hill Police Department this year has executed 12 court-authorized search warrants within the village limits.
