Miss Rachel VonderHaar and Mr. Jason Salrin, of Normal, Ill., were married June 15, 2019, at St. Francis Church, Quincy, Ill.

The bride is a daughter of Kurt and Amy VonderHaar, of Quincy, Ill. She is a 2012 graduate of Quincy Senior High School and 2018 graduate of Illinois State University, with a master's degree in cognitive and behavioral sciences. Rachel is currently a multi line representative at the Axel Jimenez State Farm Agency in Normal, Ill.

The groom is a son of Steve and Julie Salrin, of Quincy, Ill. He is a 2013 graduate of Quincy Senior High School and a 2017 graduate of Illinois State University, with a bachelor's degree in mathematics. Jason is a mathematics teacher at Normal Community High School, and a basketball coach at Kingsley Junior High School in Normal, Ill.

The wedding ceremony started at 1 p.m. The bride was given in marriage by her father, with Fr. Don Blaeser, O.F.M., officiating.

Participating in the ceremony were Gabrielle Amos, Greeter, cousin of bride, Keira Dolieslager, Greeter, cousin of bride, Dawn McBride, Reader, friend of bride, Paul Maerz, Reader, groom's uncle, and Danielle Mesecher, Reader, groom's cousin.

Maid of honor was Kayla VonderHaar, Iowa City, Iowa, sister of bride. Matron of Honor was Stephanie Salrin, Normal, Ill., sister-in-law of groom. Bridesmaids were Shannon Peterson, Chicago, Ill., friend of bride, Olivia Stotts, Quincy, Ill., friend of bride, Vanessa Galvan, San Diego, Calif., friend of bride, and Destiny Ramsey, Normal, Ill., friend of bride.

Best men were Jared Salrin, Quincy, Ill., brother of groom, and Justin Salrin, Normal, Ill., brother of groom. Groomsmen were Nathan Cameron, Bloomington, Ill., friend of groom, Andy Pollaro, Chicago, Ill., friend of groom, Paul Johnson, Dublin, Calif., friend of groom, and Ian Jones, Quincy, Ill., friend of groom.

Ushers were Mitchell Mapes, cousin of groom, and Benjamin Amos, cousin of bride.

Flower girl was Charlotte Salrin, niece of groom. Ring bearer was Chase Dolieslager, cousin of bride.

The first of three bridal showers was hosted by Judy Gianfriddo, Deb VonderHaar and Karen McFarland (bride's aunts) at Tony's Too Lakeroom, Quincy, Ill., on March 30. Another was hosted by Heather Amos (bride's aunt), Angel Mesecher and Kelly Mapes (groom's aunts) and Kailin Mapes (groom's cousin), at the Amos home in Quincy, Ill., on April 6. The third shower was hosted by Kayla VonderHaar and Stephanie Salrin (maid and matron of honor), at Mackinaw Valley Vineyard, Mackinaw, Ill., on May 18.

A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents, Steve and Julie Salrin, on June 14, at The Pier.

The wedding reception was held at 5 p.m. at Town and Country Inn and Suites.

After a honeymoon at Riviera Maya, the newlyweds are at home in Normal, Ill.
