QUINCY -- The case of a Quincy man charged in the 2018 death of an infant has been continued until October.
Travis J. Wiley appeared briefly Wednesday in Adams County Circuit Court, where a status hearing was set for Oct. 2.
His attorney, Ryan Parker, said he is waiting on a report from a Canadian-based pathologist who is reviewing the case.
Wiley, 31, faces three counts of first-degree murder and one count of aggravated battery in the Jan. 22, 2018, death of an infant girl, who is identified in court records by initials.
He is accused of shaking the infant on Jan. 20, 2018. She died two days later at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis from shaken baby syndrome.
Wiley was arrested June 29, 2018, after a six-month investigation. He pleaded not guilty to the charges Aug. 15, 2018.
Wiley continues to be held in the Adams County Jail on $5 million bond.
