Quincy man arrested on home invasion, firearm possession charges

QUINCY -- A Quincy man was arrested on multiple charges after an incident at 1:30 a.m. Saturday at a home in the 1300 block of north Fourth Street.

According to a press release, the Quincy Police Department responded to a report of an alleged home invasion involving a firearm at the home.

Police say the suspect, Ryan L. Stanton, 42, allegedly entered the home and threatened the residents. Police said one resident struck Stanton in the face, knocking him unconscious.

Police said the firearm was subsequently recovered, and Stanton was arrested on charges of home invasion and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

Stanton was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment before he was taken to the Adams County Jail to await a court appearance.
