KIRKSVILLE, Mo. -- An overview of statewide production, cultivars, pests and diseases will be discussed at a University of Missouri Extension garlic workshop on Friday, Sept. 20, in Kirksville.
The workshop will be held from 12:30 to 4 p.m. at the Missouri Department of Conservation Northeast Regional Office, 3500 S. Baltimore.
Featured speakers will be Rusty Lee, commercial garlic grower and Extension agronomist; Extension horticulture specialist Jennifer Schutter; Extension nutrition and health education specialist Margo Myers; and local grower Rod Belzer.
The $10 per person cost, payable the day of the workshop, covers materials and speaker mileage.
Lunch will not be provided. Participants should eat before the workshop or bring their lunch.
