QUINCY -- North 18th between Chestnut and Locust streets will be closed to through traffic for nearly three months starting Monday.
The Quincy Engineering Department said Rees Construction will star the second and final phase of reconstruction of the street, including street resurfacing, curb and gutter replacement and new sidewalk construction.
The street will be closed during the construction process.
Residents will have limited access along North 18th during construction. Rees Construction will leave barricades open on side streets when construction allows for residents to access their property. There will be no vehicle access in the immediate area of the workers throughout the project, which is scheduled to be complete by the end of November.
The second phase of the project will cost $982,217. A $1.04 million water and sewer line replacement project was finished earlier this summer.
