HANNIBAL, Mo. -- A Monday afternoon deer-related crash north of Hannibal injured a Hannibal man.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said that a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Landen J. Gruenloh, 28, of Palmyra, was traveling south on County Road 410, 2 miles north of Hannibal, at 2:30 p.m. The patrol said the vehicle attempted to avoid a deer in the road, ran off the left side of the road and hit a tree.

A passenger, Robert L. Ledbetter, 56, of Hannibal, was taken by Marion County Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital with moderate injuries.

Both men were wearing seat belts, the patrol said.
