Illinois man injured in Hannibal crash

HANNIBAL, Mo. -- A Fairmont City, Ill., man was injured in a Monday morning crash just outside Hannibal.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said that a 2017 Ford F-250 driven by Jesus Ochoa, 47, of East St. Louis, Ill., was traveling north and pulled into the path of an eastbound 2008 Sterling LT 9500 dump truck driven by Bobby G. Evanoff, 71, of Hannibal, at 11:25 a.m. on Route MM, one-half mile from Hannibal. The patrol said the dump truck struck the driver's side of the Ford.

A passenger in the Ford, Jesus Ochoa Jr., 21, of Fairmont City, was taken by Marion County Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital with minor injuries.

The patrol said both drivers and the passenger were wearing seat belts.

The patrol was assisted by the Marion County Sheriff's Department and Hannibal Fire Department.
