Hannibal Police arrest 2 Pike County men

HANNIBAL, Mo. -- Two Pike County men are facing charges in a stolen vehicle case.

The Hannibal Police Department said a person reported on Monday seeing a possibly stolen vehicle in the 1400 block of Market Street.

When officers arrived, they said the vehicle was stolen and arrested Patrick Niffen, 48, of Bowling Green, and James Hartwick, 38, of Louisiana, Mo.

Niffen faces a criminal charge for tampering with a motor vehicle in Marion County and criminal charges in Pike County. He was taken to the Marion County Jail.

Hartwick was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and tampering with evidence in Marion County. He was questioned and released.
