PALMYRA, Mo. -- One man died and two women were injured in a Saturday night crash south of Palmyra.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Jamar O. White, 42, of Palmyra, was southbound on U.S. 61, 2 miles south of Palmyra, at 7 p.m. The patrol said the vehicle was changing lanes and traveled off the left side of the road and overturned, ejecting both passengers and coming to rest on its top in the median.

White was pronounced dead at the scene by Marion County Coroner Rick Jones at 7:20 p.m. He was taken to Lewis Brothers Funeral Home in Palmyra.

A passenger in the vehicle, White's wife, Michelle A. White, 35, of Palmyra, was taken by Marion County Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital with serious injuries. A second passenger, Carrie M. Haskins, 43, of Palmyra, was taken by Ralls County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., with moderate injuries.

Michelle White and Haskins were not wearing seat belts, the patrol said, and it's not known if Jamar White was wearing one.

The patrol was assisted by the Marion County Sheriff's Department, Ralls County Sheriff's Department and Palmyra Fire Department.
