MONTICELLO, Mo. -- The Highland High School History Club will host a Veterans Day program at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at the Lewis County Courthouse in Monticello.
The club built and dedicated the Veterans Memorial in front of the courthouse in 1996 and has been holding Veterans Day events there every year since. Sunday's ceremony will be the club's 24th.
The featured speaker will be Rep. Greg Sharpe, who represents the Fourth District in the Missouri House of Representatives.
Club President Cosea Cisco also will speak.
American Legion Post 578 will conduct a flag ceremony.
The club's sponsor is Brian Leeser.
