Quincy man accused of stealing from employer

QUINCY -- A Quincy man was arrested after the Adams County Sheriff's Department said he stole more than $100,000 from a local business.

Joseph P. Scoggins, 29, of Quincy, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of theft over $100,000.

The Sheriff's Department said it started an investigation this month on a reported internal theft at the business.

Facebook and LinkedIn profiles for Scoggins say he is a marketing manager for Melrose International, a home decor wholesaler.

Scoggins is being held in the Adams County Jail pending his first court appearance.
