VANDALIA, Mo. -- A Sunday afternoon two-vehicle crash north of Vandalia injured both drivers.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 2007 Dodge Charger driven by Ryan B. Reynolds, 21, of Vandalia, was northbound on Mo. 154 at Highway F, 3 miles north of Vandalia, at 2:35 p.m. The patrol said the vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign and hit an eastbound 2007 Dodge Ram driven by Donald E. Layton, 48, of O'Fallon, causing both vehicles to travel off the road.

Layton was taken by Van Far Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital with moderate injuries. Reynolds refused medical treatment for minor injuries.

Both men were wearing seat belts, the patrol said.

The patrol was assisted by the Ralls County Sheriff's Department, Van Far Ambulance and Van Far Fire Department.
