Donya Shekari and Kevin Ockwood of Carrollton, Tex., were married Sept. 26, 2019, at the Wildwood Inn in Denton, Tex.
Donya is a daughter of Akbar and Sheila Shekari of Florissant, Colo., formerly of Dallas, Tex.
The groom is a son of Jeffrey Ockwood and his wife Allison of Frisco, Tex.
The mother of the groom is Betty Borron and husband, Gerald, of Arlington, Tex.
Donya is a granddaughter of Shirley Crank of Quincy, and the late Dr. Gerald Crank, formerly of Mount Sterling, Ill.
The bridal attendants were Lauren Shekari, sister-in-law of bride from Bethel, Conn., and friends Aubrey Tomlinson and Jessica Liva.
Best man was Garrett Tucker, friend of groom.
Groomsmen were Robbie Perez, friend of groom, and Jacob Ockwood, cousin of groom.
Flower girl was Camille Shekari, niece of bride.
Ring bearer was Luke Ockwood, nephew of groom.
Following the garden wedding a dinner and dancing reception was held at Wildwood Inn.
Donya is a graduate of University of Texas, Denton, Tex., and is an accounting manager at NewcrestImage.
Kevin works at Chase Bank, Carrollton, Tex., and is also a musical events coordinator.
The bridal couple took a honeymoon trip to the Amalfi Coast of Italy.
Family members that traveled to the wedding were John and Shirley Crank of Mount Sterling, and sons Lee of Springfield, Ill., and Hugh of Portland, Ore.; Darius and Lauren Shekari and daughters Camille and Nora of Bethel, Conn.; and Alan and Susan Worrell and daughters Rose and Holly of London, England.
