AUBURN, Mo. -- A 99-year-old rural Lincoln County woman was taken to a St. Louis area hospital after a Saturday morning crash near Auburn on a stretch of road known as Auburn Junction.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said that Stacy M. Murphy of Silex was driving east on Route E in a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville. When Murphy approached the road's intersection with U.S. 61, she pulled in front of a 1999 Toyota 4Runner driven by George E. Walley, 67, of Hannibal.

Walley's vehicle struck Murphy's car, which was later towed from the scene.

Murphy was taken by Lincoln County Ambulance to SSM Health-St. Joesph Hospital in Lake St. Louis for treatment of moderate injuries.
