HULL, Ill. -- A Wisconsin semitruck driver escaped unharmed from a Saturday morning traffic crash on Interstate 72 near Hull.

The crash blocked the westbound lanes of the highway for more than three hours.

The Illinois State Police said that Charles L. Keys, 60, of Milwaukee, was traveling west on the highway when he lost control on an ice-covered bridge. Keys' 2017 Peterbilt semitruck, which was pulling a utility trailer, left the road, traveled onto the grass median and rolled over.

The trailer came to rest across both westbound lanes of traffic.

Keys, who was wearing a seat belt, did not report injuries.

Assisting the state police at the scene were the Pike County Sheriff's Department, Pike County Ambulance, Hull-Kinderhook Fire Protection District, and Illinois Department of Transportation.
