Inside the matchup: The Flyers opened the season with three straight losses to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference programs before snapping the trend with a two-point victory over Ferris State. It jumpstarted a six-game winning streak. Losses to two nationally ranked teams -- No. 11 Indianapolis and No. 1 Bellarmine -- curtailed the run, but the Flyers bounced back with victories over Rockhurst and William Jewell at home last weekend. The Flyers have four players averaging in double figures, led by Anthony D'Avanzo at 14 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. Former Jacksonville standout Brandon McCombs has started all 13 games for Lewis and is averaging 4.6 points and 4.1 rebounds. The Hawks rank third in the GLVC in scoring, averaging 82.2 points per game with Tanner Stuckman averaging 19.8 points. Five Hawks average between 6.1 and 9.3 points.
