Three arrested in Hannibal in drug investigation

HANNIBAL, Mo. -- Three Hannibal residents were arrested Monday as part of the police department's investigation into the sale and distribution of methamphetamine in the city.

The Hannibal Police Department said Jeremiah J. Preston, 36, Jessica R. Vahle, 33, and Amanda P. Bowen, 28, were arrested after officers with the Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad obtained a search warrant for an apartment in the 1500 block of 30th Street. During the search, officers said they found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Preston faces criminal charges of distribution and delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child. His bond was set at $50,000 cash.

Vahle faces two criminal charges of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child.

Bowen has been charged with unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. She was released on a municipal summons.
