Married 70 years: Marvin and Leah Hull

Marvin and Leah M. Hull of Barry, Ill., are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, at Fishhook United Brethren Church. Friends and family are invited. The couple requests no gifts.

The Hulls were married Feb. 5, 1950, at Beverly Methodist Church.

They have a daughter, Peggy Ulm, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A daughter, Susan Browning, and a granddaughter, are deceased.

They retired from farming in the Beverly community and Mr. Hull is retired from the transportation department of the Western School District.

Both are active members of Fishhook United Brethren Church. Marvin enjoys golfing and Leah enjoys cooking and baking. They both like gospel and country western music programs and annual family vacations to Branson, Mo.
