QUINCY -- The John Wood Community College men's basketball team's roster is as complete as its been all season.

The timing couldn't be better.

Freshman guard Bradyn Kilby scored 13 points in his first game since late November and sophomore forward Chandler Bevans posted a double-double as the Trail Blazers wrapped up the first half of the Mid-West Athletic Conference season with an 88-62 victory over Lincoln Land on Thursday night at the Student Activity Center.

"It's good to see guys get healthy and get back in the flow," JWCC coach Brad Hoyt said.

"It gives us options and the chance to be the team we really thought we could be."

The Trail Blazers (11-13, 3-1 MWAC) begin the second round of conference games at 3 p.m. Saturday hosting No. 20 Parkland. The Cobras beat the Trail Blazers 75-74 in Champaign on January 25.

JWCC will follow that up with a Region 24 matchup at Rend Lake on Monday. The Trail Blazers beat the Warriors 100-83 in November.

"We're going to find if we're just in the mix or if we're near the top of things," Hoyt said.

JWCC has won five of its last six games and continues to get steady play from Bevans. The Clark County product finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

"That's where he needs to live and is capable of living," Hoyt said.

The Trail Blazers had four others score in double figures as Kilby scored 13 points in 17 minutes off the bench, Ja'Veon Taylor had 12 points, Jarvis Jennings finished with 11 and Dallas Bryson chipped in with 10.

JWCC outrebounded Lincoln Land 54-29 and finished with 23 assists against 12 turnovers.
