Inside the matchup: With the Knights leaving the GLVC to transition to NCAA Division I following this school year, this will be the last matchup between the two for the foreseeable future. Bellarmine owns a 25-13 edge in the all-time series and has beaten Quincy nine consecutive times, including knocking the Hawks out of the NCAA Tournament in 2017. However, some chinks in the Knights' armor have been exposed recently. After starting the season ranked No. 1 in the nation and winning their first 14 games, the Knights have lost six of their last eight and fallen out of the national rankings for the first time since 2014. Two of those losses have occurred in overtime and all have been by five points or less, including Thursday night's 61-60 loss to Truman State when the Bulldogs' Turner Scott made a 3-pointer from about 35 feet at the buzzer. Senior forward Alex Cook leads the Knights at 16.7 points and 6.2 rebounds per game, while senior forward Ben Weyer and junior guard CJ Fleming each made a team-leading 44 3-pointers this season. The Hawks are 0-8 on the road this season and need to find a consistent second scoring threat. It may be junior guard Charles Callier, who has been in double figures in each of the last three games and is averaging 11 points per game overall. He's averaging four 3-pointers made per game during his recent scoring outburst.
