Quincy man faces arson, meth charges

QUINCY -- A Quincy man faces charges after officials investigated a structure fire Monday night at the Scoreboard bar and grill.

Officers from the Quincy Police Department, Quincy Fire Department and Adams County Ambulance Service were dispatched at 8:38 p.m. to 234 1/2 S. Eighth.

After investigation, the tenant, Bruce Dyer II, 48, was arrested on charges of aggravated arson and possession of methamphetamine.

A QPD news release said there were people in the Scoreboard at the time, but no one required medical attention and the Scoreboard received no apparent damage.

Dyer remains in the Adams County Jail.
