QUINCY -- The Rev. James C. Bailey will be the guest speaker for the Bethel A.M.E. Church Brotherhood Banquet at 2 p.m. Feb. 22 at the Quincy Senior and Family Resource Center, 639 York.
Bailey was born and raised in Quincy. He has a bachelors of arts degree from Quincy University and a master of divinity degree from Lincoln Christian University. He is pursuing a doctorate of ministry at Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary.
Bailey accepted the ministry at Bethel A.M.E. Church in 1994 and was ordained an elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church in 1998. He has been pastor at Bethel in Jacksonville, Ill., Bethel in Madison, Ill., and Ward Chapel in Peoria, Ill. He is now pastor of St. Stephen A.M.E. Church in Chicago.
