HANNIBAL, Mo. -- A Hannibal man was arrested Monday night after a driver of a local taxi company reported that a male passenger displayed a handgun and demanded money.
After getting money from the driver, the company said the man fled the area of Hope and Griffith on foot about 9:54 p.m.
A short time later, Hannibal police officers located and arrested Donovan Cooper, 21, on charges of first-degree robbery and armed criminal action.
A handgun believed to be used in the robbery was recovered.
A warrant was issued by the Circuit Court of Marion County charging Cooper with first degree robbery and armed criminal action.
Bond was set at $100,000. Cooper remains in the Marion County Jail.
The Hannibal Police Department was assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
