Crash southeast of Monroe City injures New London man

MONROE CITY, Mo. -- A Wednesday night crash southeast of Monroe City injured a New London man.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said that a 2009 Toyota Camry driven by Nathan D. Wilson, 24, of New London, was traveling east on Route A, 5 miles southeast of Monroe City, at 6 p.m. The patrol said the vehicle was attempting to avoid debris in the road when it traveled off the left side of the road and struck several trees.

Wilson, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Monroe County Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital with moderate injuries.

The patrol was assisted by the Ralls County Sheriff's Department, Monroe County Ambulance and Monroe City Fire Department.
