NEBO, iLL. -- A Nebo, Ill., man is facing criminal charges, including indecent solicitation of a child and distributing explicit material to a minor, after an investigation by the Pike County Sheriff's Department.

Pike County Sheriff David Greenwood said James L. Chestnutt, 37, was arrested at his home after a tip from a Facebook group known as KTS Predators LLC. The tip included information about Chestnutt allegedly sending private messages to a suspected child through social media.

KTS Predators is an investigative group that poses as underage children, trying to identify adults who attempt to solicit them through the internet. Greenwood said the organization works hand-in-hand with law enforcement to ensure arrests and convictions can be obtained.

Chestnutt, who had been released from the Illinois Department of Corrections on May 4, now faces criminal charges of indecent solicitation of a child; grooming; distributing explicit material to a minor; and violating parole.
