EOLIA, Mo. -- A Monday night crash in Pike County injured a Bowling Green man.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said that a 1998 Chevrolet 1500 driven by Carroll E. Brown, 53, of Eolia, was traveling north and a 2005 Ford 500 driven by Austin S. Greenfield, 24, of Bowling Green, was traveling south on Route D, south of Route H, at 5:22 p.m. The patrol said the Ford was traveling too fast, improperly negotiated a curve, crossed the center line and struck the side of the Chevrolet.

Greenfield, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by the Pike County Sheriff's Department to Pike County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

The patrol was assisted by the Pike County Sheriff's Department.
