QUINCY -- The Quincy Symphony Orchestra's second installment in its broadcast concert series will air at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 23, on WGEM-TV.

The program is a compilation of highlights from previous seasons, with Saturday's installment featuring excerpts from one of the orchestra's most popular recent concerts, "The Planets – Science & Symphony," with music by Gustav Holst and images on the big screen above the orchestra in Morrison Theater.

The program also will include the wild dream music of Hector Berlioz's "Symphonie Fantastique."

The final installment of the broadcast series will be May 30.

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the organization canceled the final concerts of its 2019-20 season.

Viewers within 70 miles of Quincy will be able to view the concerts. Broadcast also will be available on WGEM-FM radio.
