Canton woman seriously injured in Ripley County crash

FAIRDEALING, Mo. -- A Canton woman was seriously injured in a Monday morning three-vehicle fatal crash in Ripley County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said that a 2016 Jeep Cherokee driven by Kristen R. Lindberg Lazaier, 51, of Poplar Bluff, was traveling west on U.S. 160, 2 miles wet of Fairdealing, at 10:35 a.m. when it struck the back of a westbound 2014 Toyota Prius driven by Connie L. Van Curen, 77, of Naylor. The patrol said the Toyota crossed the center line and was hit by an eastbound 2005 Ford Expedition driven by Lori A. Crenshaw, 51, of Canton.

Van Curen was pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Mike Jackson at 11:35 a.m. and was taken to Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan.

Crenshaw was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center with serious injuries, and a passenger in her vehicle, Lorna R. Moore, 48, of High Ridge, was taken to the medical center with moderate injuries.

The patrol said Van Curen, Crenshaw and Moore were not wearing seat belts.
