Two drivers ticketed after crash north of Quincy

ADAMS COUNTY, Ill. -- Four people were unharmed in a two-vehicle collision on Saturday morning north of Quincy.

The Adams County Sheriff's Department said that Jeffrey S. Kent, 61, of Hannibal, Mo., was driving a 2018 Toyota RAV-4 at the intersection of Ill. 96 and Ill. 24. April C. Kent, 61, also of Hannibal, was a passenger

The department said Kents' vehicle failed to stop for oncoming traffic, which included a 2003 Hyundai Accent driven by James C. Kensett, 30, of Warsaw, Ill., who was driving north on the highway. Also in the vehicle was an unidentified 2-year-old male.

All drivers and passengers were wearing seat belts and refused medical treatment at the scene.

Jeffrey Kent was cited for failure to yield and to stop at an intersection, and Kensett was cited for driving with a suspended license.

Adams County Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
