Caleb L. Hirner of New London, Mo., and Kurtis A. Hurley of Center, Mo., were among 21 Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers who graduated from the patrol's Law Enforcement Academy on June 26. The 109th Recruit Class reported to the academy on Jan. 6, 2020. They will report to duty in their assigned troops on July 13. Hirner will report to Troop B, Zone 3, Chariton and Linn counties. Hurley will report to Troop B, Zone 6, Clark and Scotland counties.
Mitchell Grayson, M.D., has been named the next editor in chief of Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology by the American College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology Board. He is chief of the allergy and immunology division at Nationwide Children's Hospital and the Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. Grayson is the son of Rosalin and the late Dr. Leonard D. Grayson of Quincy.
Kara Duong has joined Klingner and Associates P.C. as an engineering assistant in Quincy. She will provide technical support and engineering assistance for road and rail projects. She has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology.
Andrea Keene has joined Memorial Hospital, Memorial Medical Clinics and Hancock County Senior Services in Carthage as chief Human Resources officer. She had been human resources manager at Pella Corp. in Macomb. The Rushville native has a degree in early education from the University of Southern Mississippi.
