Crash near New Canton injures two

NEW CANTON, Ill. -- A Sunday night crash near New Canton injured two.

Illinois State Police District 20 said a 2013 Ford Explorer driven by Amber N. House, 25, of Kinderhook, was heading south on 225th Avenue at 8:26 p.m. when it struck a 2007 Honda Odyssey driven by Pearce L. Chaplain, 20, of Barry, which was heading east on 255th Avenue.

Chaplain and a passenger, Harold L. Kindle, 59, of Quincy, were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

ISP said House was cited for failure to yield right of way, and Chaplain was cited for no valid registration and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.
