Palmyra man injured in crash west of Perry

PERRY, Mo. -- A Palmyra man was injured in a Sunday morning crash west of Perry.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said that a 2017 Chevrolet Colorado driven by Michael E. Schriener, 61, of Wright City, was heading north at the intersection of Mo. 19 and Mo. 154, 1 mile west of Perry, at 7:20 a.m. and stopped to make a left turn. The patrol said the Chevrolet was rear ended by a 2006 Pontiac G6 driven by Jason E. Stamper, 32, of Palmyra.

Stamper was taken by Ralls County Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital with moderate injuries.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol said.

The patrol was assisted by the Ralls County Sheriff's Department, Perry Police Department and Perry Fire Department.
