Hannibal announces July 4 parking restrictions

HANNIBAL, Mo. -- There will be several parking restrictions Saturday, July 4, in Hannibal for Independence Day activities.

The Hannibal Police Department said there will be no parking along the Hannibal Cannibal and Fourth of July parade routes starting at 2 a.m. until the conclusion of both. Any vehicle parked along the route two hours before the event is subject to being towed.

The Hannibal Cannibal starts at 6 a.m. at North and Main. Runners will head down South Main to Church Street, then across the Third Street overpass. They will head out of town on Mo. 79 before turning around and returning along the same route. Mo. 79 will be closed along the course route until the run's conclusion.

The parade starts at 10 a.m. at Broadway and Grand Avenue. It heads east on Broadway to Maine, then south on Main to Church Street, where it ends.
