LGBT lessons should not be mandatory in public schools

To The Herald-Whig:

I recently learned that the state is going to require our public schools to teach as a history course lessons on LGBT.

I don't know why this should ever be considered a history requirement, nor do I agree with the need to make this mandatory in our schools.

I, as a Christian, do not believe in this and do not feel it is right to teach our kids this. For those parents who agree that this is wrong, please let your school know you do not want your child to attend any class that teaches it.

If we don't decide what our kids are taught, someone else will.

Do we really want someone else to lead our kids down the wrong path? You are the one who should make the ultimate decision, not the state.
