QUINCY -- A Quincy man faces a 45-year prison sentence when he is set to plead guilty to multiple sexual abuse charges this month.

Michael D. Larsen waived his right to a jury trial Wednesday in Adams County Circuit Court. He is set to return to court Aug. 28 to enter a new plea and be sentenced immediately. Assistant State's Attorney Anita Rodriguez said the plea agreement calls for Larsen to plead guilty to seven counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and be sentenced to a total of 45 years in prison.

Larsen, 44, was arrested Jan. 22 by the Adams County Sheriff's Department after it received a report of criminal sexual assault in Adams County.

He is accused of having sexual contact with a girl between July 21 and Sept. 21, 2019, five instances of sexual contact with a second girl between September 2019 and January 2020, and sexual contact with a third girl between June 26, 2018, and Jan. 16, 2019.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges on July 2.

As part of the agreement, two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child would be dropped, as well as an unrelated aggravated battery and a misdemeanor charge of violation of an order of protection.

He is being held in the Adams County Jail on a $200,000 bond.
