QUINCY — An investigation continues into the cause of an early Thursday morning vehicle and structure fire in Quincy.
Firefighters responding at 2:08 a.m. to the alley behind 705 Madison found a fully-involved vehicle next to a garage also showing flames. The first-arriving companies extinguished the flames in both the vehicle and the garage.
The vehicle was a total loss, and the garage sustained minor damage, the Quincy Fire Department said in a news release. A nearby home also sustained a small amount of heat damage resulting in melted siding.
No injuries occurred at the scene, and no one will be displaced.
