Christina Wilson joined The Herald-Whig in November 2012 as the Administration and Human Resource Manager. She was promoted to HR Generalist at Quincy Media Inc. in January 2019. In her role as HR Generalist, Christina serves as the Human Resource Manager for the Herald-Whig and also assists the corporate HR department with the overflow of work duties. Before joining the Herald-Whig, Christina worked for a local advertising agency for 10 years as a marketing consultant/media buyer/VP. That role was instrumental in sparking a love for HR. Learning to work with a vast array of people and personalities was an exciting and interesting challenge. You can have a plan in place for the day and in an instant, your whole day changes. No two days are ever the same when working in HR. During her time at the advertising agency, Christina’s motto was, “Ask forgiveness, not permission”. That quickly changed to “no surprises…ever” when she joined the Herald-Whig family. Christina is a member of the local chapter of SHRM and the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce Women's Networking Group. She volunteers at Birthright of Quincy and St. Dominic School. Christina is the proud mom of 3 beautiful daughters; Juliet, Naomi and Sydney.
