Adams County RSVP recognizes volunteers for service at 39th annual banquet

The Adams County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program recognized 89 of its volunteers with milestone service awards and inducted seven members into the organization's Hall of Fame Wednesday, Nov. 7, during the 39th annual RSVP Recognition Banquet.

The RSVP program, sponsored in part by JWCC, consists of 535 volunteers who provide 71 area agencies with 76,504 hours of service each year.

Former RSVP volunteers inducted into the RSVP Hall of Fame were: Allen and Virginia Echternkamp, Loretta Garrison, John and Eleanor Spurrier, and Don Thompson of Quincy; and Bonnie Lierle of Pittsfield.

Current members recognized with milestone service awards were:

Twenty-five year of service -- Ginny Jorgensen and Ginny Kroeter of Quincy.

Twenty year of service -- Charlotte Berman, Roger Cave, Irene Doellman, Ruth Hall, Arlene Miller, Shirley Murphy, Robert Rouse and Hilda West of Quincy; Maxine Schaffer of Ursa.

Fifteen year of service -- Bernard Clemenson, Alice Doyle, Jerry Doyle, Maxine King, Betty Nichols, Juanita Nickerson, Evelyn Pieper, Frank Saeger, Ruby Sparks, Leroy Wallace, Marilyn Wendling, Juanita Wingerter and Elaine Wolkitt of Quincy.
