Lincoln's assassination topic of Civil War Roundtable meeting March 24

QUINCY -- The Tri-States Civil War Roundtable will host Timothy Good at its meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Room D024 at John Wood Community College, 48th and Harrison.

Good's topic will be the assassination of President Lincoln, which happened 150 years ago in April. Good, a 25-year veteran of the National Park Service, is the superintendent at White Haven in St. Louis, also known as the Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site.

Before becoming the White Haven superintendent, he served at national historic sites throughout the United States, including the Lincoln Home in Springfield and Ford's Theatre in Washington, D.C., the site of Lincoln's assassination.
