QUINCY -- The Forgotten Initiative will be the host of a putt-putt golf fundraiser, Golfing "Fore" the Forgotten, on Sept. 19.

Golfers will tee off at 10 a.m. traveling throughout Quincy to local businesses hosting putt-putt golf holes they have designed and created for the event. Registration begins at 9 a.m. at the Forgotten Initiative Resource Closet in the lower level of 3915 Maine. Registration is a donation of $10 a person, and all money raised will stay within the local foster care community.

Organizers estimate all holes can be completed in as little as 2 hours, but for more leisurely play, the "course" will be open between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and can be played in any order.

Participating hole locations are at Legacy Martial Arts, Derk's Autowerkes, Peter's Heating and Air Conditioning, Kohl Cash and Carry, Caley Construction, Star Line Ranch, Quincy Humane Society, Initials Inc. by Erica Kirlin, Relax Quincy Spas, Time to Play Music, Smith Brothers Powersports, Zanger Excavating, Vervocity Interactive, Media Development, ETC Computerland, Anderson Consultants, Quincy Community Theater and Sherwin Williams.

This year's course sponsors are Titan International and Dr. Doug Wentura, a local dentist.
